Consolevariations.com is a site where lovers and collectors of all things related to videogames can search consoles, controllers and more. From that old Playstation you might have laying in the attic to the golden Nintendo Wii of Queen Elizabeth II.
After the site became more popular it was time to give it a big update. This included an advanced search and filter system and users can now, using Gamification techniques, track their own collection and add new entries to the database.
Furthermore, the data generated by the community can be used to see how rare objects are which can help traders determine the value.
For the sorority M.A.R.I.K.E.N in Nijmegen we created an easy to maintain website. For example, adding photos to the sorority’s Facebook page also uploads them to the website. No more fuss with keeping photo albums up to date!
Out of the Trenches was a community platform developed for the Youtube channel The Great War Channel. They had trouble to manage the large amount of questions they received on various platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Patreon, etc.)
for their show ‘Out of the Trenches’.
The community platform solved this problem by allowing users to log in with their existing social media accounts (including Patreon) and ask their questions in one central location. Users can also vote on questions to show their interest.
Fans who supported the show on Patreon were being rewarded with extra perks.
Pool of Dragons
In anticipation for the last season of the popular TV show 'Game of Thrones' we developed a website to predict
the fate of the remaining characters. People could sign up with their social media account to predict which
characters would survive or who would face the horrible fate of turning into a wight. Correct predictions are
rewarded with points which can be used to get the best ranking in the global leaderboards. It's also
possible to compete with your friends by inviting them to your private groups.
Due to the popularity of the platform, we've decided to add some new fun mechanics to the website. For example,
we added a 'battle of the houses' update which allowed people to join their favourite house and lead it to victory by
predicting extra outcomes in a democratic system.
